    Coach Sheena Conner

Sheena Conner will serve as both the Director of Vigilantes Volleyball Club and the coach for our younger players this season. Sheena brings a unique perspective as both a lifelong athlete and a parent to athletes, giving her a deep understanding of what it takes to help kids succeed both on and off the court.

Her background includes years of coaching youth sports, from her daughter’s soccer team to flag football and swim team. She has also worked with city parks and recreation departments to design and run programs that inspire and engage kids.

Sheena’s passion lies in creating opportunities for young athletes to develop their skills, build confidence, and love the game. As both a coach and director, she is committed to guiding the next generation of players while growing the Vigilantes Volleyball Club into a strong and supportive community for families.

    Coach Dominick “Dom” Argenziano

Coach Dom is the Head Coach for the Sahuarita High School Girls Volleyball Team, stepping into the role in 2024. Though this is his first season with the program, he was chosen for his years of coaching experience, deep knowledge of the game, and undeniable passion for the sport.

In 2024, he founded the Vigilantes Volleyball Club with the mission of giving local athletes the opportunity to play club volleyball while keeping costs more affordable for families. His vision is rooted in community, accessibility, and growth for young athletes.

Coach Dom has been playing and coaching sports for most of his life, bringing leadership, energy, and commitment to every team he works with. As a community leader and advocate for youth sports, he looks forward to building the future of the Vigilantes Volleyball Club alongside his partner, Sheena Conner, and helping athletes thrive both on and off the court.

    Coach Aaron Brown

Coach Aaron has 4 years of experience coaching multiple youth sports in addition to volleyball, including football and wrestling. He began coaching volleyball in 2023 as a volunteer with National Youth Sports. Most recently, he coached a 13u recreational team and a 14u Elite Team for that league. The 14u team won back-to-back championships for the winter and spring seasons. Coach Aaron is also the head coach for the A, B, and C teams at Esmond Station Middle School.

Coach Aaron has a positive coaching style and focuses on athlete confidence and progression rather than skill perfection. His teams play scrappy volleyball and embody the values of Effort, Teamness, and Attitude (ETA). Aaron's goal for his players is for each season to be the best volleyball experience they have ever had.

When not coaching or spending time with his wife and three daughters, Aaron spends most of his free time reading coaching books,  listening to the Volleypod podcast, or watching volleyball training videos from other countries around the world to stay up to date with the sport and learn new training methods to give his athletes an edge in competition.

    Coach Mike Murray

Coach Murray has had the privilege of coaching female athletes in softball, from little league through competitive travel teams. While he is newer to volleyball, he brings extensive coaching experience and a proven ability to help athletes reach their full potential both on and off the court. He firmly believes that sports serve as a training ground for life, teaching discipline, teamwork, resilience, and accountability.

His coaching philosophy is grounded in hard work, discipline, and creating an environment where athletes can enjoy the process as much as the outcome. He believes the way an athlete practices directly translates into how they perform in competition, and that the habits we build in athletics reflect how we approach challenges in every area of life.

Ultimately, his goal is not only to help athletes develop the skills necessary to succeed in their sport, but also to prepare them with character and confidence they can carry beyond the court.

    Coach Amy Granatowski

Coach Amy has one year of experience coaching girls volleyball at Corona Foothills Middle School. They had a successful season ending 4-2. She is very competitive with all sports, but she loves watching her team work together and communicate. Her goals always include: making each team member feel like they are part of the team.

She has three years of coaching a junior motocross team, A5 Racing, all around the state. Volleyball has become a big part of her family’s lives over the last few years with her daughter playing competitively, and she looks forward to many more years of playing and coaching.

When she’s not involved in youth sports, she enjoys hunting, camping and fishing with her husband, daughter and two sons. As a family, they also support SANDS, Southern Arizona Network for Down Syndrome, in honor of her youngest son who has Down Syndrome.

    Coach JJ McCarthy

Coach JJ has 1 year experience coaching girls volleyball at the club level and comes from a long background of competitive sports. He has spent the last 4 years watching and learning everything to do with volleyball and helped coach the Vigilantes 16u team to winning season in 2024.

His coaching style is based around perfecting the basic skills and fundamentals needed on the court, along with providing a positive and encouraging setting to achieve team goals. He values the structure and discipline that youth sports can bring to players that can also translate into their day to day lives and help them grow as athletes and people. He believes that games are won on Saturday by putting in the hard work through practice during the week.

When not on the court, Coach JJ enjoys spending time with his family camping and racing, while still keeping up with what’s going on in the world of volleyball, as it is always evolving.
